Come hit the sand with Taryn Brasher and Kristen Cruz! As part of Santa in the Sand, TKN is hosting a free juniors beach volleyball clinic where young athletes 16 and under can learn, play, and have fun alongside two of the sport’s best.
Taryn and Kristen will lead drills, share coaching tips, and talk about their own journeys from junior players to professional athletes. All skill levels are welcome, whether your child is picking up a volleyball for the first time or looking to improve their game.
More than 100 kids joined us for our last clinic. We can’t wait to welcome the next group to the court!

Join us at Coconut Beach after Santa in the Sand for a free send off party for Taryn and Kristen before they leave that afternoon for Brazil to kick off their road to the 2028 LA Olympics. A DJ will keep the music going while we enjoy a silent auction, photo ops, food and drinks available for purchase, and one more chance to celebrate with TKN before they go. 🎶📸

656 Foundation
As the story goes, Santa flies around the world in his sleigh drawn by nine reindeer. He slides down chimneys, leaves gifts for children and enjoys milk and cookies.
In Kenner, LA. Santa is in the sand.
Theoretically, at least.
Each December, TKN, along with a group of volleyball elves, produce ”Santa in the Sand”, a beach volleyball extravaganza with games, live and silent auctions, music and entertainment, food/beverage, to raise resources and ensure those without have an opportunity to share in the holiday spirit. In collaboration with the City of Kenner 10 families will be selected as recipients of Santa in the Sand’s 2024 gifting.
Brasher and Nuss are currently the No. 1 women’s beach volleyball team in the country and represented the U.S.A. in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Even though their competition schedule has them traveling around the world for tournaments, not to mention practicing long hours daily, giving back to the people of Louisiana remains a priority for the duo.
